Thanks for your reply and I agree with you about being able to spot quiet, but effective leadership! I may be somewhat naive about this point, especially as it relates to leaders in the private sector, as I’ve never worked there (my experience has been in the community, education and association sectors). However, I think that the majority of leaders tend to lead by quiet example. All too of often it seems, controversial leadership trumps low-key, effective leadership. What happens, unfortunately, is that like most news items, it’s generally the bad that gets reported which tends to overshadow the good examples that exist. However, I’ll take the low-key approach any day. Bye for now!
